How do I renew an item?

Answer

  • All items except DVDs/videos and equipment can usually be renewed one time. Information on loan and renewal periods is on the Borrowing and Loan Periods page: [https://www.ewu.edu/library/request-and-borrow/]
  • These directions are for items borrowed that belong to EWU or Summit libraries. For items borrowed through interlibrary loan, see below.
    • Sign into your library account to renew by clicking “Library Account” on the library homepage [https://www.ewu.edu/library/] to extend your loans.
      • Click your name in the upper right hand corner of the screen. A drop down menu will open.
      • Click "My Loans". A list of your borrowed items will open.
      • Click "Renew" next to each item you want to borrow longer, or check the boxes of the items you want to borrow longer and click "Renew Selected," or just click "Renew All" to extend the loan periods on all the items you have out.
      • Items borrowed from Summit libraries may not renew immediately while we check with the owning library. Log into your account later to verify your item was renewed.
  • Bring your Eagle card or library card to the Circulation Desk, or contact Circulation at 509-359-7888 or email circulation@ewu.edu
  • Contact Interlibrary Loan (ILL) at 509-359-2492 or email ewuill@ewu.edu
