Q. Does Edmonds College provide free software for students?

Does Edmonds provide access to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) for free?

Answer

Students can use their EdMail account to create an Office 365 account for free. Go to http://office.com/getoffice365 and follow the instructions. You will need to put in your EdMail account address (i.e. j.student1234@edmail.edcc.edu) and then follow the link in the email they will send. This includes access to the online versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams, plus more.

NOTE: Edmonds is a Google campus, so student EdMail accounts provide access to Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, and Meet, which faculty may have students use as opposed to the Microsoft products.

During the COVID closure, students can also use Virtual Computer Labs to access software like: Office, Project, Visio, MATLAB, Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk REVIT, Solidworks, Visual Studio Professional 2017, and more.
