Can I check out a laptop, Chromebook, or other technology?

Answer

We offer a variety of equipment for checkout to currently-enrolled students (all subject to availability):

  • Chromebooks (4 hour loan) (*see below for quarter-loan Chromebook information)
  • Windows laptops (4 hour loan)
  • phone chargers (Apple lightning, Micro USB, USB-C) (4 hour loan)
  • headsets with headphones and microphone (4 hour loan)
  • graphing calculators (4 hour loan)**
  • presentation slide clickers (4 hour loan)
  • webcam (2 hour loan)
  • hotspots (hotspots were funded by the CARES Act and this program has ended)

Bring your EdPass or picture ID and ctcLink ID number to check out equipment during library open hours. There are no holds or requests on technology items. All borrowing is first-come, first-served and no appointments or applications are needed.

Requests for technology not included on this list can be made to IT Support.

Technology available elsewhere on campus:
*Campus IT has a quarter-loan Chromebook program. More information is on their website.
**The Math Department has a graphing calculator rental program where students can rent a graphing calculator for the quarter for $20. Students who want to rent a calculator through this program must inform their math instructor who can initiate the rental process.
