How can I check out and renew library materials?
Can I borrow a book? How can I see if the library has a book I want?
Answer
Use OneSearch to look for books by title or topic. The EdPass student ID card is also the library card. If a student doesn't have their EdPass with them, a photo ID and ctcLink ID number can be provided instead. Most books check out for three weeks at a time, but can be renewed (see below).
Holds/Requests
Holds can be placed on circulating (non-Course Reserve) items by signing in to the library account and clicking Place a Hold. An email will be sent to the preferred email in ctcLink when the materials are ready to pick up. Students can check on the status of hold requests by clicking the account name in the upper right and then selecting My Requests.
Renew
Items can be renewed, if no one else is waiting for them, through the library account online, by calling the library during open hours, or by telling us in person. To renew online, sign in to the library account, click the account name in the upper right, click on My Account, then click the Renew link for the items to be renewed. If the renewal does not go through, it means that someone else is waiting for the item or the item is ineligible to be renewed.
