How can I get help from a librarian?

Can I schedule a Zoom meeting with a librarian? Who can help me with research?

Answer

Getting Help:

Students can get help from a librarian in lots of ways:

  • 24/7 Chat with a Librarian
    • Chat with a Librarian is staffed with librarians from around the world. They can help with research questions. Any Edmonds-specific questions they can't answer will be referred to Edmonds College librarians who will reply to students via email on the next business day (or sooner).
  • Text: 425.406.4058
    • Students can text questions during open hours for a quick reply
  • Submit questions for an email response
    • Questions submitted after-hours will be answered on the next business day
  • By phone (425.640.1472) or in-person at the Ask a Librarian desk during open hours

Making Appointments:

Edmonds College librarians are happy to meet with students individually or in groups for research assistance. Librarians can help with keywords, search strategies, accessing resources the library doesn't own, recommending databases, citations, and more. Students can make appointments in a variety of ways:

  • Online form
  • Schedule online with your subject librarian (if you aren't sure who your subject librarian is, submit the online form with your course and we will get back to you to schedule!)
  • By phone (425.640.1472) or in-person at the Ask a Librarian desk during open hours
