Thanks for your question about how to access our online research databases.

The login credentials are your Bates Username, (First initial+last name) and your password. If you haven't logged in before, the default password looks a lot like this:

Bates123456789 

Note the capital "B" and the nine digit number. Don't use these nine digits, use your nine digit student ID number. 

First, try your login credentials and see if you can access your Bates email account. If they work with Bates email, but not for databases, you will need to ask for a password reset. Please contact Information Technology: it@batestech.edu.
