I'm not an OC Student or Employee. Can I use the OC Libraries?

Answer

Everyone is welcome to use the OC Libraries spaces! We are here to serve the Olympic College community, whoever that may be.

If you would like to check out books you will need to set up a free "community patron" account with us. In order to set up this account, you will need a valid form of state issue ID and a piece of mail with your current address on it. If you have both of those, you'll be all set! Come into any one of our branches and a library worker would be happy to help you set up your account.

If you would like to use library computers/databases you'll need to set up a community patron computer account which is separate from the book loan account.  Ask the librarian on duty to set up an account for you.  **Please note that you will be able to use the Internet, and library resources, but the computers no longer have productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) downloaded on them. To use productivity software you'll need to use your own Google Docs or Office 365 account. Printing is also not included on public accounts.
