Did your professor provide you a link in Canvas to the film?

If so, follow the link. This link will take you out of Canvas and directly to the Kanopy website.

Once you are on the Kanopy website, it will require you to login through the SPSCC login portal to verify that you are an authorized user. Use the orange "Watch Now" button under the movie screen to login (see screenshot below).

Important: do not use the Log In button at the upper right corner of the page!
 

Do you have only the title, but no link to the film?

First, double check which online film database the title can be accessed from: Kanopy or Films on Demand or some other database or website?

If the film can be accessed through Kanopy, then go to the SPSCC Kanopy website. If you are off campus, you will need to click on the orange "Log In to SPSCC" button (see example screenshots below) and use the search box at the top of the page to search for your film title.
