An item I want is checked out or the library doesn't have it, where else can I find it locally?

Answer

You can ask the library to borrow it from another library by filling out an Interlibrary Loan form.

Also, WCC students and employees may check out materials from Western Washington University and most of the other libraries in the county through the Whatcom Libraries Collaborate program. Items checked out from any participating library may be returned to any participating library.

Finally, the Bellingham and Whatcom County public library systems will deliver materials to the WCC library for their patrons. Select items from their combined online catalog and choose "Community College" for the location when placing a hold (you will need your public library card number). They will alert you when your item has been delivered to WCC. Items are placed on the cart near the self check-out station, found on the first floor of the Learning Commons just to the left of the south entrance.
